This piece explores how we move through life chasing certain goals or ideas of what we think will make us feel complete.

We often tell ourselves things like “I’ll be happy when…” and, without realising it, place our sense of wholeness somewhere in the future. But in reality, life is happening in the middle of that. We’re learning, adjusting and growing through experiences we didn’t plan for.

The two shapes reflect that journey. They move through different dimensions, gradually coming closer over time. They have the ability to meet and create something new, but they also exist fully and independently on their own.

It’s not about needing something or someone else to feel complete, but recognising that we already are, even as we continue moving, evolving and experiencing life without fully knowing where it’s leading.

The colour palette was inspired by a period of time spent in nature during a particularly wet February, where deep greens, moss and turkey tail mushrooms brought a richness and grounding to the work.
