Unfolding came from my interest in what happens when I stop trying to keep things fixed. I wanted the shapes to feel like they were in motion, twisting, pulling apart, and shifting direction rather than sitting still or resolving into something neat.

As the forms move, they open up and reveal colour that was previously held inside them. That felt important to me. It reflects how change often works in real life, when structure loosens, something more honest and expressive can come through.

This piece is about allowing movement without knowing the outcome, and trusting that what unfolds can be just as strong as what was once held together.
